Julie Arvedon Knowlton
Actors! Julie loves working with them! On camera, voice over, theater- you name it and she is determined to find just the right actor for your project. Having been both a producer and a casting director in the industry for over 30 years, Julie knows the talent pool and is constantly scouting local theater, schools, and even her neighbors (!) to find new people of all ages to add to her digital and mental database. As a casting director, she specializes in casting commercials, voice overs (she loves VO!), industrials, and Xmas movies. She has cast the feature film GHOST LIGHT and half a dozen holiday movies including LETTERS TO SANTA, THE SPRUCES AND THE PINES, CHRISTMAS A LA MODE, and A PLAYFUL ROMANCE. Julie is extremely passionate about supporting local theater, so when not casting a project, you can often find her in the audience of theater productions in and around Boston. In addition to casting, Julie handles publicity and marketing for Slate and has worked in PR at several area theater companies. The past president of the International Television Association, Julie has taught on-camera acting at Salem State University, is a proud graduate of Syracuse University, and, with her husband, an even prouder parent to 2 kids and 3 dogs.
